I just moved into an apartment in Nashville and needed a handyman to help with little odds and ends. I called Wayne and within a few hours he was at my place, hanging pictures and changing a showerhead. He was quick, thorough, professional and just a great guy to chat with. There was a problem with the showerhead (not Wayne's fault, the showerhead wasn't well-made and didn't work properly) and Wayne came back a couple of days later and installed a new showerhead at no cost. I could not be happier with Wayne's work. I am so glad I called Wayne and would not hesitate to reach out to him whenever I need a handyman. While my tasks were fairly simple, he is able to take on much more complicated projects and his rates are very reasonably. You will not disappointed.

Much like a superhero, Wayne swooped in and did an emergency repair on our home when every other contractor we called seemed to be unavailable, unable to do exactly what we needed, only able to do part of the job, unable to do the job until after the holidays and on and on and on.

If you've ever had to work with a contractor (and if you live in any "original" home in Nashville, you are no doubt more familiar with Home Depot and contractor nightmares than you ever thought you would be) then you know that they don't always show up when they say they will. And in this particular situation, we didn't have any wiggle room when it came to the usual contractor BS. We called Wayne in a panic and demanded reassurances that he would show up and do the job we needed. He calmly assured us that he would. And he stayed calm, even when we texted him six times over the next couple of days to ask him again and again if he was for sure (like super positively sure with a cherry on top SURE) that he was definitely absolutely coming to fix it. And sure enough, on the appointed day and time, Wayne drove up, gave me a friendly hug and did the job we needed him to do. And even though he could've taken advantage of our desperation, he didn't overcharge us for it. We'll definitely call him again next time we need help and recommend that you do too!

Finally time to put some projects to bed that should have been done 10 years ago on the house and so I looked for several Handyman services. Found three and sent out some requests and got responses but A Plus Handyman beat them to the punch. I can't say that was a bad thing because Lucas Wallace the gentleman that came out has been to our place again and repeat service is no small feat. No only is Lucas extremely efficient and knows what he is doing, but he is also very friendly and pleasant to work with. He has fixed a door frame, added door knobs to two doors and has fixed some damage grout in the kitchen. All his work has been A-plus and he recommends other items to help you over time such as certain cleaners, sealers, etc... I honestly cannot say enough good things about A Plus and Lucas in particular. Thanks Lucas and Wayne for all the help, we are spreading the word on you guys.

Wonderful! Wayne does high-quality work and is very efficient. I needed a swing hung on the back porch. The positioning was a little tricky but no issue at all for Wayne. He also completed some minor plumbing issues and repaired a post which was splitting.

I hired Wayne out of the blue based on his reviews here on Yelp. It always a leap of faith. This time faith was rewarded. Some people just get it. A great business personality and the skill to execute. All you can ask for plus. 

Wayne and Robert (his assistant) are great. The entire process from estimate, scheduling, and execution were flawless. I do not use these terms lightly. But Wayne earned it.

Work was completed on time. Quality of work was excellent. Prices are very fair. A tremendous value. I recommend without reservation.

- I left Wayne a voicemail describing the Scope of Work. He texted back with a quote within a couple hours.

Scheduling

- When I texted Wayne to set up the work, he was able to schedule the very next day in the morning. This was all set up through his automated system. I received a text with an appointment date/time & when Wayne was on his way.

Performance

- Wayne showed up introduced himself, gave a brief history on his experience. He moved my outlet and installed my 50lb tv case and asked me multiple times if I was happy with the placement of both. We adjusted the tv mount a couple times to get it perfect.

Cleanliness

- Wayne took his shoes off & used a sheet to cover dry wall dust.

Cost

- Wayne stuck to the original quote and didn't sneak in any extra charges.

Value Added

- Wayne taught me how to move a power outlet and shared his knowledge on other house maintenance topics.

- Wayne is a teacher and can hold a fun conversation. He's a true professional.

- Wayne offered to come back to my house if my wife (who wasn't there at the time) found any needed adjustments.

Absolutely amazing! I had an issue with the springs that shut the folding ladder to my attic door.
